Campania- Italy

The olive tree is a source of light and emotion. It marks the passing of our lives.
Born from silence and a wandering star. In rhythm with the wind and the waves.
I see as much in the olive tree as I do in the rest of the world.
No one ever told me that the olive tree was my grandfather.

Certified Organic Since 2024

The estate views organic farming not simply as a certification, but as an ongoing commitment. Over time, it has progressively moved away from certain conventional cultivation and crop management practices in favour of methods that better respect the environment and promote biodiversity.

One example of this approach is the complete elimination of copper-based treatments.

Instead, the estate uses natural plant-strengthening products based on wood distillate and rock powders. These help protect the trees against weather-related challenges and support them during key agricultural operations such as harvesting and pruning, while maintaining a more sustainable and environmentally responsible farming system.

Conscious Cultivation

Nurturing the Soil, Strengthening Nature’s Balance

The estate manages its soil using a regenerative approach, avoiding invasive practices such as deep ploughing or heavy harrowing. Instead, it adopts minimum tillage, with shallow cultivation designed to preserve the soil’s natural structure, biological activity, and long-term fertility.

To nourish the soil, the farm uses certified organic nitrogen-rich fertilisers derived from natural by-products including processed leather, hides, meat meal, and bone meal, all of which are rich in organic matter. In addition, green manure crops, such as barley and broad beans (fava beans), are grown and incorporated back into the soil to naturally replenish nutrients.

These practices help build a healthier and more resilient soil by:

  • Reducing erosion during periods of heavy rainfall.
  • Improving the soil’s physical structure and overall health.
  • Increasing water infiltration while reducing compaction in clay-rich soils.
  • Enhancing water retention in sandy soils.

Together, these methods promote healthier olive trees while supporting biodiversity and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the grove.
